NPTEL (National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning) is an initiative of the Ministry of Education, Government of India. It offers online courses and certification in various domains such as engineering, science, management, humanities and social sciences. NPTEL was established in 2003 with the aim of enhancing quality of engineering education in India. NPTEL provides free access to high-quality educational resources to learners across the globe. It has partnered with over 300 top institutes in India to provide course content, which is delivered through an online platform. NPTEL has impacted millions of learners across the globe and has revolutionized the way education is delivered.
The Board of Professional Education and Research (BPER) is a distinguished organization dedicated to promoting excellence in education and research. Through its collaboration with Swayam NPTEL Local Chapter, it has been able to bring together some of the brightest minds in academia to work towards creating innovative solutions that will benefit the academic community as a whole. With a focus on research and development, BPER strives to provide students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in an ever-changing global environment. By partnering with Swayam NPTEL Local Chapter, it has been able to expand its reach, offering students from a diverse range of backgrounds the opportunity to engage in meaningful research and pursue their academic goals with passion and purpose.
BPER has been granted permission to establish a SWAYAM-NPTEL Local Chapter on campus, with the approval of the SWAYAM-NPTEL Office at IIT Madras. The Academic Director of BPER, Mr. KANDELA SIVA GANESH, has been designated as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) or Institute Coordinator between BPER and SWAYAM-NPTEL, IIT Madras. As the institute SPOC, Mr. KANDELA SIVA GANESH is responsible for promptly relaying any initiatives introduced by SWAYAM-NPTEL to the faculty and students of BPER. He acts as the nodal officer to represent the concerns of all participants to the SWAYAM-NPTEL Office.
